Daytona Fest 2010

As has been my tradition for many years, I'm planning on having a Daytona 200 party at my place (asuming DMG will have a race this year :eek:

)

Like last year, it will be on the Friday eve when the race is aired, March 5th as I recall.

Fasttrax/MotoSeries participants in the area (Westlake OH 44145) are welcome to stop by for some gearhead cheer and nonsense.

I may try to make it - however will be coming back from racing at Daytona on Mon-tues with AHMRA and may get hung by the little lady if after 10 days away racing (going to Roebling first) I leave to go watch more racing.

The Party is ON!

Despite the snow around us, that opening event that signifies the start of motorcycle road racing season is soon to be upon us .... The Daytona 200, on Friday, March 5th.

As has been my custom for many years, it’s also a great excuse to throw open the doors to the house and invite everyone over for a party!

Those of you who’ve been regulars over the years know that we empty the fridge of useless articles and use it for what it was really intended (beer/beverages). Likewise from previous years, we’ll serve up a hearty chili to help balance out all the beverages – this year will feature a new recipe for a pork loin based chili. Of course, the kitchen will be filled with all the other usual noshing fare as well.

The doors will be open from 5 pm onwards. The 200 race will air at 9 pm (guess they’ve got to time it for the west coast after work crowd). It’s also possible Speed Channel might decide to air the Superbike races from earlier in the day and Thursday.

Feel free to bring a spouse, significant other, or someone cute you’ve just met to the party. No real need to bring anything other than yourself, but if you’re partial to light beer, I tend not to stock much of that!
